NEW TECHNOLOGIES COGENERATION

Combined electricity and heat generation

This modern and reliable method for efficiently generating energy uses heat, improves overall energy conversion efficiency, and concurrently reduces greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions.

Improving energy efficiency

Safer operation

We see cogeneration as one of the most natural procedures in terms of the economical use of our resources. We want to apply the CHP principle at all MND sites wherever it makes economic sense.

CHP PROGRAMME

We want to implement five cogeneration units at our sites by 2025

Using a cogeneration unit we will cover over two thirds of the total annual consumption of the centre and achieve average energy efficiency in fuel use of 75% to 80%.

The application of CHP heat exchangers will significantly reduce the frequency and operating time of open-flame burners in heating appliances, which will also improve the safety of our existing equipment.

We will have constructed five CHP units and have shifted electricity generation yet further towards energy self-sufficiency by the end of 2025.

0

We want to achieve CO2 emissions reductions of 350 tonnes using CHP technology already in 2022.

0

The current installed output of the unit is 200 kW.

0

The maximum thermal output of the unit is 237 kW.

CHP Dambořice pilot project

We have put a Cento 200 cogeneration unit into operation at the centre in Dambořice.
