Building CO2 clusters
The CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) projects are unique in Europe. Their construction will open the way to other projects in inland areas.
OUR CHALLENGES
In cooperation with scientific institutions and industrial partners we are building the first commercial CCS facilities in Central Europe.
We are a partner of the CO2-SPICER Czech/Norwegian research project, the goal of which is to examine possibilities for geological storage of CO2 in Southern Moravia under the leadership of the Czech Geological Survey.
This unique project, preceded by 15 years of scientific research, will help in the fight against climate change and serve as a model example for further implementation in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe in the future.
We are planning to store 400,000 tonnes of CO2 per year from 2031.
The average depth of geological storage of CO2
The total capacity of the storage structures is 10 million tonnes of CO2.
An application for support from the EU’s Innovation Fund has been submitted.
